Helpful Hints When Assembling an Arrow Shed

Did you ever look at an Arrow shed & wonder how do you get a full-sized storage building from that 1 box? Well, the folks at Arrow have been doing this for nearly 50 years! An Arrow building is a low cost storage solution and allows you to organize and have easy access to yard tools, patio equipment, seasonal sports gear and so much more.  You can see the full line of Arrow buildings at www.arrowsheds.com
There are some tips that will make your assembly process faster and smoother.  These include:

Ø  Make sure the day you assemble the building is dry and calm. Do not start assembly if rain is in the forecast.
Ø  A minimum of two people should assemble the building. If you have a larger shed, a third person would be helpful. The more people the better.
Ø  Prior to purchase, check local building codes. Some towns have restrictions on the type and size of storage building that can be built. Check for permit requirements.
Ø  As always, thoroughly read the instruction manual. The step by step process will also list the tools required for assembly.
Ø  It is extremely important that your site is square and level. This will ensure that panels will line up and provide for proper installation.
Ø  The Arrow web site www.arrowsheds.com contains an animated video of how a basic  gable building goes together. Use it to get a general idea  of how it will apply to your Arrow building
Ø  You need to decide what will be your base. Arrow has floor frame kit and base kit accessories to help keep your stored items off the ground. The wood required is separately purchased. In addition,  you may decide to have used a concrete base instead of a wood. Base instructions are detailed in each Arrow instruction manual.
Ø  After your building is complete, it must be anchored to protect against strong winds. Arrow has ground and concrete anchor kits available.  They are easy to install and depending on your base, will provide long-term protection for your Arrow shed.
Ø  It’s a good idea to keep the shed’s roof and door tracks clear of debris and heavy snow.  This will keep the roof strong and assure smooth sliding of the doors
Following these guidelines will help you keep your Arrow storage building attractive and in great shape for use year after year.
